For this edition of The Eagle Chronicles, we asked eighth graders to write fall-themed poems. One student, Ivania Corrales, wrote a poem about one of Thanskgiving's most delicious desserts: apple pie.

With this gooey delight

save every bite

Crumbly crust

Nothing to adjust.

If you want perfection

Ice cream's your choice

It's the best complexion

I'm sure everyone enjoys.

It's very addictive

Worth more than a prize

Try to be selective

May it stay off your thighs.
